Installation Instructions:
Step 1:
To begin the SecureLid® Installation, determine which mounting method you will be using. Your SecureLid® can either be hard mounted, which requires drilling into your truck bed, or pocket mounted, which uses Pocket Loks™ instead of drilling. For Pocket Mount, install the Pocket Loks™ using provided instructions, before you continue to step 2. For Hard Mount, continue on to step 2.
Clean the truck bed rails where the SecureLid® will be installed. Next, apply 3/8” x 2” Foam Tape to the top edge of the truck bed rail as shown in figure 1.
Step 3:
With help from three other people, carefully place the SecureLid® onto the truck bed in its proper position. Open one of the lids for access. Next, after closing the tailgate, adjust the position of the SecureLid® so that the foam gasket on the edge of the tailgate is tightly fit. Next center the SecureLid® on the width of the truck bed.
- POCKET MOUNT - To secure your SecureLid® with Pocket Loks™, the Pocket Loks™ should have been installed in step 1. Now, attach the SecureLid® to the Pocket Loks™ as shown below.
- HARD MOUNT - To hard mount your SecureLid® follow the following steps. Using the lid’s predrilled holes as a template, drill four 11/32” holes into the truck bed. These holes are used to mount both the SecureLid® and optional ladder rack. Attach your SecureLid® using the provided hardware, as shown below. On some models, removing the tail lights may be required to access the bottom side of the drilled holes at the rear of the bed.
