VLR98003, VLR98002 - Easy On/Off Van Rack

Installation Instructions:
VLR98002 Astro Van Hard Mount:
Use the VLR98002 Supplement Instructions in place of the mounting instructions listed below. Assemble as indicated below.

VLR98003 Drip Rail Mount (All Others):
1. Mount Cross Channels to Center Support Bolt Track (Formed). Slide Hex Bolts in place and mount Strap Bracket.



2. Slide 1” Bolt Track into Cross Channel approximately 20” from the end and mount Ladder Stop Brackets using supplied hardware.



3. Slide 12” Bolt Track into end flush. Next slide 5/16-18 x 1 1/4” Hex Bolts into track and mount Ladder End Stop Bracket. Now slide Drip Rail Grip Bracket Draw Bolt (See chart for correct bolt size). Now repeat these steps on far side of Cross Channel.

4. Repeat Steps 1-3 on the second Cross Rail Assembly.




THE FOLLOWING STEPS ARE FOR DRIP RAIL MOUNT (VLR98002) ONLY. HARD MOUNT INSTRUCTIONS ARE HERE.

5. Next, mount the Drip Rail Brackets, slide 5/16-18 x 1 1/4” Hex Bolts into the 12” Bolt Track. Leave bolts loose and refer to chart to determine “Distance A”, the distance between the drip rails.

Note: Drip Rail Bracket is a universal design, one side long leg, other side short leg. Use the short side vertical for Chevy, GMC, and Ford Full Size Vans. Use the long side vertical for Dodge Full Size Vans.



6. Place the rack end on the drip rail, slip the Drip Rail Grip Bracket in place, and install with 5/16 x 1/2” Carriage Bolts and fasten loose. Add washer and nut to Drip Rail Grip Bracket Draw Bolt and tighten Drip Rail Grip Bracket. Now tighten Carriage Bolts to fasten both Drip Rail Brackets together.



7. Repeat Steps 5-6 on second Cross Rail Assembly.

8. Make final adjustments and tighten all bolts. Installation is now complete.
