Installation
Instructions:
Wiring:
Before mounting the Safety Beacon, connect all wiring as follows. Please read
all steps before you begin.
1. Use provided Wire Connectors to extend the Beacon’s two wires down the Beacon
Bracket, through the Rack Channel, into the vehicle, to a suitable mounting location
for the Beacon Switch.
2. Attach the red positive wire from the Beacon to the #2 teminal on the Beacon
Switch, using provided Wire Connectors.
3. Use a short section of 16 Gauge Wire and Wire Connectors, as a jumper, to connect
terminal #2 to terminal #3.
4. Attach a long section of 16 Gauge Wire from teminal #1of the Beacon Switch
to the vehicle’s 12 volt power source for accessories. Install the Fused Link
between the vehicle’s power source and the Beacon Switch.
5. Combine a 12” peice of Black Wire and the ground wire from the Beacon, to terminal
#4 on the Beacon Switch. Attach the other end of the Black Wire with a Ground
Lug to a nearby chassis ground.
6. Mount the Beacon Switch in a convienient location in the vehicle’s interior.
7. Secure loose wires away from hot or moving parts with supplied cord clips.
Mounting:
Attach the Safety Beacon to the Beacon Bracket with the three bolts, washers,
and nuts provided.
