The Vise Base Assembly comes a base plate, vise stand, and all mounting hardware. The Vice Base Assembly is to be located on the tail gate as shown below. Using the base plate itself as a spotting template, position as shown, to make good surface contact for bolt mounts. Mark all holes, remove plate, center punch and drill (through first wall only!) for 1/4” riv-nuts using a .332 drill bit or “Q” drill bit.
Note: Use a drill stop or taped depth stop to prevent accidentally drilling through entire tailgate. Now crimp the 1/4” riv-nuts at all locations and mount the base, with vise set using supplied hardware.
